Ventana Research conducted this research and analysis in order to determine the Value Index for Data Integration and to evaluate vendors and their products. This research was performed independently and the company charged no fees.
Value Index is an analytic representation of the assessment of how well vendors’ offerings meet customers’ requirements for software that enables and supports data integration. To evaluate all the vendors Ventana Research specialists have chosen 7 key categories. Five of them are product-related:
- usability
- manageability
- reliability
- capability
- adaptability
And two customer assurance categoriesl:
- vendor validation
- total cost of ownership and return on investment (TCO/ROI)
The company uses research-based analytics and methodology to generate The Value Index percentages. And then builds them into a set of indicators that are presented graphically as temperature charts. Each colour corresponds to the value of each vendor. There are 4 types of colours:
- frigid
- cold
- warm
- hot
